Decks

Decks turn a request and your source material into a finished presentation. You describe what you need, choose how it should look, and Ordify builds the slides — which you can then edit, present, and download as a PowerPoint file.

Generated slides are a starting point. Check every claim, figure, and chart against its source before presenting.

Build a deck from chat

The quickest way to a deck is to ask for one. Type your request in chat, or select Deck from the starting points on the chat home screen.

Chat home with Deck among the starting points

Select Deck, or just describe the presentation you want.

Describe the presentation the way you would brief a colleague — what it covers, who it is for, and any material it should draw from. For example: "Create a slide deck: build a deck about the big bang."

Choose the look

The Deck design panel opens beside the conversation. Everything here stays editable afterwards, so you can build straight away and adjust later.

The Deck design panel with template, palette, and style options

Pick a template and palette, or build without one and go straight to the slides.

  • Template — start from a ready-made design, import your own, or build without one
  • Look and feel — the palette and style your slides are built in
  • Brand — switch on to apply your organization's brand kit: its colours, fonts, and logo
  • Graphic — controls whether slides use generated imagery
  • Logo — appears once the deck has a logo, and sets how much of the deck it appears on
  • Outline tab — review and adjust the deck's structure before building

Select Build slides when you are ready.

Review the deck

The finished deck appears in the preview panel, and is saved to your Drive.

The generated deck in the preview panel

Present, download, or open the deck for editing straight from the preview.

From here you can Present, Download .pptx, or Edit slides.

You can also keep refining the deck by chatting — ask for a different tone, an extra slide, or a reworked section, and the deck updates in place.

Build a deck from Drive or the Library

You do not have to start in chat.

From Drive — select + New → New deck, then choose From scratch or a saved deck blueprint.

The New deck menu in Drive

+ New → New deck in Drive, from scratch or from a blueprint.

From the Library — open Library → Blueprints, switch to Decks at the top left, and select + New.

Editing slides

Edit slides opens the deck editor, with Outline and Slides views.

The deck editor with the slide toolbar and speaker notes

Edit slides directly, restyle text, and review the speaker notes.

From the toolbar you can:

  • Add a Slide, Image, Text box, or Line
  • Open Design to change the deck's look
  • Present the deck
  • Generate a Transcript
  • Save as template to reuse this deck's design later
  • Download .pptx

Select text on a slide to style it, and use Slide background to change how an individual slide is set.

Speaker notes sit below the slide and are drafted with the deck. Edit them like any other text.

Changes save as you work.

Presenting

Present opens the deck full-screen for presenting. Move between slides with the arrow keys or the on-screen controls.

Download and transcript

Download .pptx saves the deck as a PowerPoint file that opens in PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides, keeping the design you chose. Exported decks are stored in your Drive.

Transcript drafts a spoken script for the deck, which you can regenerate and save as a Word document.

Deck templates

A deck template is a design starter — a look, not content. It sets the palette, typography, and slide styling for a new deck; the content still comes from your brief and material.

Deck templates live in Library → Blueprints → Decks.

Deck templates in the Library

Public templates cover common presentation styles; your own and your organization's appear alongside them.

Ordify ships a set of public templates for common situations — board decks, consulting and strategy, launches and demos, research and long reads, marketing and storytelling.

You can also:

  • Save as template from the deck editor, to reuse a design you have built
  • Copy a template as the basis for your own
  • Filter between Template, Org, and My templates

Your working decks are not templates — they live in your Drive.

Build decks with an agent

An agent can build decks in conversation once the Decks tool is enabled:

  1. Open the agent and go to the Integrations tab.
  2. Select Ordify Productivity.
  3. Tick Decks.
  4. Save the agent.
Chat only

The Decks tool works in conversation, not inside a job. An agent running as a task in a job cannot build decks.
