Credits & Usage Limits

When using Ordify, you may encounter two different types of limits: monthly plan limits and credit usage. Understanding how they work together helps you get the most out of the platform.

Monthly plan limits

Every Ordify subscription plan includes a monthly token allowance — the number of AI tokens your agents and chat sessions can consume each month.

Your usage is affected by several factors:

  • The length and complexity of your conversations and agent runs
  • The AI model in use (standard vs. premium/thinking models)
  • The number of agents, jobs, and automations running
  • Team members sharing an organization plan

When you reach your monthly limit, additional usage is billed through credits rather than being cut off, so your work is never interrupted mid-task.

What are credits?

Credits are a pay-as-you-go balance that covers token usage beyond your monthly plan limit. They are:

  • Purchased separately — buy credits in packs at any time from your Settings page
  • Never expiring — unused credits roll over indefinitely
  • Shared across your team — organizations use a single shared credit pool that all members draw from

Credits are only consumed once your monthly plan allowance is exhausted. If you are within your monthly limit, no credits are deducted.

How auto-refill works

Auto-refill keeps your credit balance topped up automatically so agents and automations never stall.

  1. Set a low-balance threshold — when your balance drops below this amount, a refill is triggered
  2. Set a refill amount — the number of credits to purchase when the threshold is hit
  3. A notification email is sent each time an auto-refill purchase is made

You can enable and configure auto-refill from the Credits section of your Settings page. A saved payment method is required.

Organization credit pools

When you are a member of an organization, your token usage draws from the shared org credit pool rather than any personal balance. The org admin manages the pool balance and auto-refill settings.

Individual members can see how much of the pool they have used this month in the organization's Credit usage dashboard.

How to purchase credits

  1. Go to Settings → Credits (personal) or Organization Settings → Credits & Billing (org admin)
  2. Choose a credit pack — 100, 500, or 1,000 credits
  3. Complete the Stripe checkout
  4. Your balance updates immediately after payment

Frequently asked questions

What happens if I run out of both plan tokens and credits?

If both your monthly plan allowance and your credit balance reach zero, agent calls and chat completions will be paused until credits are added or your monthly plan resets.

Do credits carry over month to month?

Yes — credits never expire and roll over indefinitely. Only your monthly plan allowance resets each billing period.

Can I use credits instead of upgrading my plan?

Credits are designed to handle overflow usage, not as a full substitute for a plan. For heavy, consistent usage we recommend upgrading to a higher plan tier so the credit balance is used only for true overflow.

Who can purchase credits for an organization?

Only organization admins can purchase credits or configure auto-refill for the shared pool. Individual members cannot top up the org pool directly.

Can I see which team members are using the most credits?

Yes — organization admins can view the Credit usage section in Organization Settings, which shows a ranked breakdown of monthly credit consumption per member.
