Slack Integration
Ordify for Slack brings AI directly into your team conversations. Instead of leaving Slack to use AI, then copying results back, you can tag @ordify in any thread or send a direct message and work together with your team in real-time.
What Makes Ordify for Slack Different?
Ordify for Slack offers a significantly different experience compared to using AI in isolation:
-
Thread-Based Context: Ordify reads the entire Slack thread context—messages, files, decisions, and discussions. It understands what your team is working on and maintains conversation history throughout the thread, so you don't need to re-explain previous discussions.
-
Real-Time Collaboration: Everyone in the thread sees Ordify working in real-time. Responses stream as they're generated, making AI processing transparent and collaborative. Your team can review, suggest changes, and iterate together—all in one place.
-
Flexible Agent Selection: Choose the right AI agent for each task. Use
@ordifyalone to use your channel's default agent, or mention@ordify @AgentNameto use a specialized agent. You can even set a default agent per channel so your team doesn't need to specify it every time. -
Internet Search Integration: Access real-time information when needed. Enable internet search for channels or threads to get current information, not just training data. Perfect for research, market analysis, and current events.
-
File Attachments: Share files directly in conversations. Ordify processes and understands file contents—images, documents, and other files—using them as context for AI responses. Perfect for document analysis and image understanding.
-
Direct Messages (DMs): Have private conversations with Ordify. Send a direct message to the bot for personal tasks or sensitive information. No
@ordifyneeded—just start chatting. -
Thread Control: Manage bot behavior in threads. Type
muteto stop Ordify from responding, orunmuteto resume. Control internet search per thread with@ordify search on/off. -
Slash Commands: Quick commands for common tasks:
/ordify-set-agent <agent-name>- Set default agent for channel/ordify-agent- Show current default agent/ordify-search on/off- Enable or disable internet search for channel
How It Works
-
Tag @ordify in Any Thread: In any Slack thread, tag
@ordifyand describe what you need. You can also mention a specific agent to use specialized AI capabilities. -
Ordify Reads the Thread: Ordify sees the entire thread context—messages, files, decisions, and discussions. It understands what your team is working on and maintains conversation history throughout the thread.
-
Everyone Sees Ordify Working: Ordify works transparently in the thread. Your team sees what Ordify is doing, progress updates in real-time, streaming responses as they're generated, and when results are ready.
