Slack Integration

Ordify for Slack brings AI directly into your team conversations. Instead of leaving Slack to use AI, then copying results back, you can tag @ordify in any thread or send a direct message and work together with your team in real-time.

What Makes Ordify for Slack Different?​

Ordify for Slack offers a significantly different experience compared to using AI in isolation:

  • Direct Messages (DMs): Have private conversations with Ordify. Send a direct message to the bot for personal tasks or sensitive information. No @ordify needed—just start chatting.

  • Thread Control: Manage bot behavior in threads. Type mute to stop Ordify from responding, or unmute to resume. Control internet search per thread with @ordify search on/off.

  • Slash Commands: Quick commands for common tasks:

    • /ordify-set-agent <agent-name> - Set default agent for channel
    • /ordify-agent - Show current default agent
    • /ordify-search on/off - Enable or disable internet search for channel

How It Works​

  1. Tag @ordify in Any Thread: In any Slack thread, tag @ordify and describe what you need. You can also mention a specific agent to use specialized AI capabilities.

  4. Team Collaborates on Results: Results appear in the thread. Everyone can review the output, suggest changes, iterate together, and continue the conversation in the same thread.

Installation​

To install and connect Slack to Ordify, follow these simple steps:

  1. Navigate to Account → Integrations → Slack
  2. Click Connect to initiate the OAuth authorization process
  3. Complete the OAuth flow to authorize Ordify to access your Slack workspace

Once connected, you'll see a "Connected" status in the Integrations settings, and you're ready to start using Ordify in Slack.

Getting Started​

After installation, you can immediately start using Ordify in Slack:

  1. Go to any Slack channel or thread
  2. Tag @ordify and describe what you need
  3. Ordify will respond in real-time, and your team can collaborate on the results

That's it. No complex configuration or setup needed.
